Bio: Dr. Justin T. Bernstine joined American University in 2016 as an Assistant Dean in the School of Communication before transitioning to the role of Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Case Management in 2021 and Interim Dean of Students in 2023. Prior to coming to AU, Justin held a variety of positions in student affairs and academic administration at Portland State University, Montgomery College, and The George Washington University where he also received his doctorate in higher education administration. Justin is a Washington, DC native with an undergraduate degree in costume design from Brown University.
