Bio
Quin serves as the Associate Director for Student Equity, Access, and Retention. Her portfolio will provide support to multiracial/multiethnic students; develop and implement collaborative student-centered initiatives related to community-building, equity, access, and retention for underrepresented and vulnerable student populations. Additionally, Quin supervises the team that supports our STEP and District Scholars cohorts.

Prior to joining AU, she worked in the field of Housing and Residential Life for ten years in a variety of roles and capacities. Working at a mixture of land-grant, religious affiliated, ivy-league, state systems, and private institutions Quin created spaces for equitable practices and resources that carved out a sense of belonging and connection for the students that she worked with and alongside. A huge emphasis of work for Quin was through establishing DEI practices within Student Conduct and Community Standards, Title IX support, Facilities Management to help troubleshoot after-hours concerns, and establishing spaces of support for students traversing mental/physical health concerns, to name a few.

Additionally, much of Quin's work within Residential Life & Housing has been on creating more ethical systems through hiring, onboarding, and ongoing positional development. She is an innovative and outside-the-box thinker that enjoys embarking on enriching dialogues where all can exchange ideas and thoughts in a space of continued improvement and development. Quin is a strategic and big-picture thinker who uses historical context to examine how and in what manner ideas, thoughts, actions, and conceptions fit in to serve a greater population and focus.

Outside of work, Quin is an avid outdoors gal having hiked and camped out in the wilderness among Skydiving and other extreme outdoor adventures. She also loves to cycle, read, listen to music from her growing vinyl collection, and being a mom to her little tabby cat, Oliver!
