Bio
Before SIS, Jonathan earned his undergraduate degree in Biology and German Language & Culture at UNC Charlotte. Additionally, he received a graduate certificate in German Translation and Translation Theory. Shortly after graduating, Jonathan took the initiative to receive his full provisional license as a North Carolina State Educator. For the first two years of his career in education, Jonathan taught topics relating to environmental science at the high school level. Desiring his career to align with his love of German, world cultures, and education, he planned, developed and led the first German Language Department at his high school campus over the course of three years. Currently, Jonathan is working in SIS with the Foreign Policy and Global Security Department as the Academic Program Coordinator.
