Bio
Teresa Valais designs learning blueprints for asynchronous and hybrid learning. She brings expertise in learning theory, instructional design, online facilitation, and faculty development to her work for the School of Communication. In her role, she applies expert knowledge of universal design, adult learning, and the instructional design life cycle to lead and manage new course design projects and course revisions. Teresa partners with vendors, faculty, and industry subject matter experts to develop online interactive learning content.


She oversees quality processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality course design and development using Quality Matters standards.


Teresa's background includes designing and facilitating leadership development workshops, train-the-trainer online courses, training webinars, and one-on-one coaching. She has worked in U.S. Department of State and American Councils for International Education grant funded educational and cultural programs and other agency professional development training programs for foreign nationals.
