Bio
Tirrea Billings is a PhD student in the School of Communication at American University. Tirrea's research interests lies at the intersection of social justice communications and how media affects social justice issues, particularly around mass incarceration and the criminal justice system. She is currently a media fellow for the African American Civil Rights Network and a research associate for the Center for Media and Social Impact.
