Kate Goodwin Reese Adjunct Instructor School of International Service

Bio
Kate Reese is a doctoral student in the School of International Service. She also serves as managing editor for the Journal of International Relations and Development . Her interests revolve around international communication, mobility, and environmental politics. She recently published an article in Global Environmental Politics on the central role of the automobile in modern social and economic life. Her current research is on the global politics of urban transport.

Kate has taught courses as part of the National Student Leadership Conference program on engineering and sustainability. For SIS's Community of Scholars program, she is currently developing a course entitled "Living and Dying in the 21st Century: The Global Politics of Health and the Environment," which assesses social actions that aim to prevent death and foster life in domains as varied as humanitarian aid, disease control, pollutions regulation, organic farming, and urban sustainability.
