Interview with Agustina Perez '21

Agustina Perez is a 2021 graduate of the International Legal Studies program with a specialization in International Environmental Law. Her main area of practice is project finance, and she is a senior associate and has been working in Ferrere for almost 10 years. We asked her about her time at WCL and advice she has for current and prospective students.

Elizabeth Rushing '09 Elizabeth Rushing '09, Managing Editor of the Humanitarian Law & Policy blog for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), is now also the law and policy host of Intercross: The Podcast, exploring the interpretation and application of international humanitarian law (IHL) on topics ranging from gender and armed conflict to new technologies in warfare.

Donna Robinson '13 Donna Robinson '13 was selected by the International Office of Migration - Iraq to serve as a Migration Law Consultant. She will work alongside Iraqi government officials to develop the country's legal framework for migration.

Silvia María Méndez Parodi '11 Silvia María Méndez Parodi '11 was named as Rising Star by the Legal 500 ranking, as director of the environmental law department of the law firm Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados.

Dr. Ali Abbas Khayoon (Humphrey '13) Dr. Ali Abbas Khayoon (Humphrey '13) graduated from the UN- IMO World Maritime University (WMU) in Sweden with a Ph.D. for his legal dissertation titled “The Legal Recognition of Electronic Bills of Lading."

Ahmad Ishaque Jehangir '13 Ahmad Ishaque Jehangir '13 assumed the position of Chief Instructor at the National Institute of Management of Pakistan. He is recognized as the first police officer and Humphrey Fellow to take this position for training and development of national civil service at the strategic and policy levels.

Jose M. Llanos Alperi '09 Jose M. Llanos Alperi '09 was appointed Partner of the Spanish firm Cases & Lacambra. He has nearly 15 years experience in corporate advisory, specializing in cross-border and domestic Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions.
