After law school, Ms. Jacobs practiced government contracts law in Beverly Hills, CA.  She then focused on nonprofit consulting and governance in Dallas and Washington, DC, with an emphasis on nonprofit Board development.
Her overriding interest, however, is Modern European History - in particular the Weimar Republic and Germany between the two World Wars.  As a docent at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for over ten years, her work centers on outreach to law enforcement and international visitors.
