Legislation and Policy Brief

Legislation and Policy Brief Logo

The American University Legislation and Policy Brief (AULPB) is the legislative-based legal publication of the Washington College of Law. AULPB publishes a book, sponsors events on campus and on the Hill, and hosts an online blog providing bipartisan legal analysis of current legislation and policy issues before federal and state legislatures. AULPB articles cover a wide range of legislative areas and tend to be heavy on legislative history and analysis. Staff Membership to the American University Legislation and Policy Brief (AULPB) is open to all current American University Washington College of Law Students (including 1Ls) in good academic standing.  It presents fantastic opportunities to develop crucial legal writing and editing skills, explore and blog on current legal issues on any subject area, as well as possibility for accession to the Executive Board.

Washington College of Law The Oversight Project The program offers the country’s only student-edited blog covering the work of Federal government oversight and accountability institutions.
Washington College of Law The Government Contracts Initiative The program oversees development of the law school’s Government Contracts-related curriculum and relevant programming in order to prepare students for careers in the field of Government Procurement Law.
Washington College of Law The Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project The Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project is a nationally recognized law related education program that promotes democratic engagement, constitutional literacy, and legal advocacy.
Washington College of Law Senior Affiliates in Law and Government Senior Affiliates in Law and Government are recognized experts in their field who come to the law school to teach, mentor and advise students, and serve as a resource to faculty and alumni.
