American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) is thrilled to welcome you to our dynamic law school community. Here, you will receive a legal education that prepares you to tackle a breadth of challenges in Washington, D.C., throughout the country, and around the world.

Admitted Students' Events
 
We ask that all admitted students register at least two business days in advance to ensure you receive the logistics email by the day of the event. Space is limited, so please only register for ONE of our three admitted student events. As space is limited, we are unable to accommodate any guests. Friday, March 21, 2025 - Join us on Friday, March 21 from 10:00 am - 6 pm for our first Admitted Students Day! This event is open to both full-time and part-time admitted students. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 - Join us on Tuesday, April 1 from 6 pm - 8:30 pm for our Admitted Students Evening Event! This event is open to both full-time and part-time admitted students, though the panel will discuss some topics specifically for part-time evening students. RSVP here.

Friday, April 11, 2025 - Join us on Friday, April 11 from 1 pm - 6 pm for our Admitted Students Event! This event is open to both full-time and part-time admitted students. RSVP here.

SPRING GUIDED TOURS

JANUARY 13 - APRIL 21

MONDAYS (11:00 AM & 3:00 PM); WEDNESDAYS (11:00 AM & 5:00 PM); THURSDAYS (11:00AM); & FRIDAYS (11:00 AM & 3:00 PM)

The guided tours explore our three interconnected campus buildings and accommodate about 12 prospective/admitted students with up to one guest each. All participants must register at least one business day in advance of the requested visit (and indicate if they are bringing one guest) to receive the confirmation email with instructions.

FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING SESSION

FRIDAYS FROM 2-3PM

The JD Office of Admissions is hosting these in-person sessions most Fridays at 2:00 pm ET. These sessions will be led by an Admissions team member and a current law students and will discuss a brief overview of financial aid options, the 1L curriculum, experiential learning opportunities (Clinic, Trial Advocacy, Externships, etc.), student life, housing, and more. (Please note that these sessions do not discuss the application process and so are geared towards those who are current applicants and admitted students.) Please note that students may bring up to 1 guest. We ask that you indicate on the registration whether or not you plan to bring a guest. Participants must register one business day in advance of their requested visit date.

The JD Office of Admissions is excited to offer class visit options for Fall 2025 admitted students. You will not be confirmed for your class visit until you receive an email directly from our office. Due to limited seating, only the prospective student can register to visit a class, no guestsDrop-ins are not permitted. You must register ahead of time.

Virtual Activities

Virtual Information Sessions

These hour-long virtual sessions will be led by an Admissions team member and 1-2 current law students. They will be held via Zoom most Tuesdays from September 10 - November 19 at 3:00pm ET for up to 25 prospective students. These sessions will provide an overview of the admissions process, financial aid, experiential learning opportunities, and student activities. Participants must register one business day in advance of their requested session to receive the confirmation email with the Zoom link.
