AU provides a free shuttle from the Tenleytown/AU Metro stop to campus. At the Metro station, take the escalator and exit to the east, which is on your left (look for the sign directing you to AU Shuttle stop). Once at street level, the shuttle stop is just a few yards ahead at the intersection of 40th Street and Albemarle Street. The shuttle runs on a continuous loop and departs every ten to fifteen minutes. Track the shuttle here.

Take the AU Blue Route shuttle to the Kerwin Hall stop. When you exit the shuttle, you will face Kerwin Hall on your right, and Constitution Hall will be on your left, across Nebraska Avenue. For Kerwin Hall, walk up the stairs, enter the building, and take stairs or an elevator one level down. For Constitution Hall, cross the street at the light and enter the building from the campus interior.

To get back to the metro station, board AU shuttle at the same stop, and in the same direction.

Interactive parking map

Constitution and Kerwin Halls are located off of Nebraska Avenue between Massachusetts Avenue and New Mexico Avenue. There is a surface parking lot located on East Campus with a right turn only entrance from Nebraska Ave.

If you are driving on Nebraska Ave. from Ward Circle, the left turn into East Campus is not permitted. It is then more convenient to use underground parking in the SIS garage or East Campus garage. To enter the SIS parking garage, turn right from Nebraska Ave at the intersection with New Mexico Ave.

Parking fee is $2/hour or $16/day. Conference participants can purchase virtual guest parking permits in advance on AU Parking Portal or enter their license plate numbers into the kiosks to pay for parking. There are parking kiosks on the East Campus surface parking lot and in the SIS garage near the elevators. Watch for the signs, some parking spots are not allowed.

Drivers can pay for parking on campus at the parking kiosks or online. Kiosks accept payment for the same day. Going online, you can pay for multiple days as follows:

Login using your email and password. If this is your first time AU Parking Portal, press “create one” to create a guest account.

Say, if you arrive at 6 pm on Monday and depart at 2 pm on Thursday, then get permits for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday only.
