ESL Student Requirements

ELTA does not charge an application fee. To be considered for admission, applicants must:

  • Have graduated high school/secondary school by the first day of the semester of entry.
  • Be at an intermediate level (ELTA does not accept beginners). Must provide an official Duolingo English Test result with a minimum score of 60. TOEFL and IELTS scores are also welcome.
  • If planning to request immigration support (F-1 International Student visa), candidates will be required to provide proof of liquid funds.

Domestic Students

  1. Create an account.
  2. After you have created an account, complete the application. 
  3. After you have submitted the first portion of your application, you must return to your account and complete supplemental items.

    Note: Your application will not be considered until you have submitted the required supplemental items.
  • Copy of valid passport
  • $200 tuition deposit (non-refundable) which is credited towards tuition fee

 

Successful completion of ELTA can fulfill the IELTS/TOEFL requirement for some American University programs.

International and F-1 Visa Transfer Students

  1. Create an account.
  2. After you have created an account, complete the application.
