2020 Forms W-2 and 1095-C

FORM W-2, Wage and Tax Statement

Your 2020 Form W-2 is now available if you elected to receive the form electronically. To access your 2020 Electronic Form W-2: 

• Login to myAU.american.edu 
• Go to Personalized Links, click “Work@AU” 
• Click “W-2 Statements” and select year 2020 

Your Form W-2 will load in your web browser as a PDF file. If the file does not display correctly, try using a different browser such as Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, or Google Chrome. 

If you opted not to receive your Form W-2 electronically or did not complete the consent form before December 18, 2020, a paper version will be mailed to your home address by January 31, 2021. 

If you would like to change the method by which you receive your Form W-2 in future years: 

• Login to myAU.american.edu 
• Go to Personalized Links, click “Work@AU” 
• Click “W-2 Electronic Consent”  
• Select either the Opt-In (electronic) or Opt-Out (paper) and click “Submit" 

FORM 1095-C, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage

In addition to the W-2, faculty and staff who were eligible for AU-sponsored medical coverage at any time during calendar year 2020 will receive a Form 1095-C mailed to their home by the end of February. The form is required by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and provides documentation to support your income tax filing for 2020. Kaiser medical plan participants also will receive a Form 1095-B directly from Kaiser.
