Dear AU Community,

We want to update you on the resolution of a law enforcement matter. In March 2022, AUPD investigated reports of alleged voyeurism. The investigation identified a student involved in the matter, and the university immediately mitigated the situation and supported campus safety through administrative action. The student was barred from campus in April 2022 and was ultimately dismissed from the university later that year.

Based on information obtained by AUPD and provided to law enforcement agencies, the investigation expanded to a larger scope of activity that did not involve our community. This week, the investigation resulted in a criminal conviction. Information about this matter was handled confidentially to maintain the integrity of the investigation. The community members affected by this matter were updated during the investigation and provided support.

I want to thank AUPD for their efforts that resulted in this outcome and their ongoing work to support the safety of our community.
