Dear AU Community,

We wanted to inform you of new building access procedures at the Spring Valley Building. As of July 15, the building will be accessible to AU community members using their faculty, staff, or student AU ID. Guests, visitors, or OLLI students will be provided a PIN number by their AU host. Unscheduled guests may contact the office they intend to visit via the visitor management system kiosk at the main entrance. 

A group of community members, including representatives from the School of Education, Office of Facilities and Planning, Auxiliary Services, and University Police and Emergency Management worked together to develop the new access procedures. The updated system meets the needs of the AU community, while still maintaining access for those using the building for events and classes. This working group collected feedback and considered the potential impacts on community members, guests, and others who use the Spring Valley Building.
