Dear AU Community,

We would like to inform you of timing and access information for the following 2022 tax-related forms:

Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement

Electronic Form W-2

Your 2022 Form W-2 will be available the week of January 23. If you have not yet elected to receive the form electronically, the deadline to opt-in has been extended to January 17. If you have opted previously for an electronic W-2 form, no action is required.

To Access Electronic W-2s:

  1. Login to myAU portal
  2. Go to Personalized Links and click “Work@AU.”
  3. Click on “W-2 Statements” and log into Eagle Service.

To “Opt-in”:

  1. Complete the instructions above.
  2. Click on “Receive my W-2 only in electronic format” and hit “Save.”

You must give consent to receive an electronic W-2. You may change your election at any time.

Paper Form W-2

If you opted not to receive your Form W-2 electronically or did not complete the consent form before January 17, a paper version will be mailed to your home address and postmarked by January 31.

Form 1095-C, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage

In addition to the W-2, faculty and staff who were eligible for AU-sponsored medical coverage at any time during calendar year 2022 will receive a Form 1095-C mailed to their home by the end of February. The form is required by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and provides documentation to support your income tax filing for 2022. Kaiser medical plan participants also will receive a Form 1095-B directly from Kaiser.
