Dear AU Community,  

We are excited to welcome you back for the fall 2024 semester. Last summer, we kicked off the semester with a new event partnership between the Residence Hall Association (RHA), AU Kitchen, and Student Affairs. We are excited to continue this partnership and invite you to the second annual Welcome Back Block Party and Taste of Home BBQ in the Lydecker Tunnel this Saturday August 24, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. 

This event celebrates the transition from the summer to fall semester. Throughout the summer, we undertake significant improvement efforts and preparations to make our campus a better home for our AU community, and in the fall, we welcome our returning and newly enrolled Eagles to campus. This event is designed to help everyone experience fun on campus in the Lydecker Tunnel and make our amazing campus their home.   

The festivities will include giveaways and fun prizes from our vendor partners, Chartwells, Pepsi, and Follett, at tables in front of the retail venues in the Tunnel; BBQ eats from our AU Kitchen; cookies from the Captain Cookie and the Milk Man; as well as games, photos with Clawed, and a DJ thanks to RHA and Student Affairs.    

We hope to see you there in your best AU gear.
