Presentations, Reception, and an Open House

Please join SOE faculty members at 4:00 p.m. on September 27 as they discuss methods to cope with stress, and the benefits of college in the 21st century. The presentations will be followed by a reception and open house to meet other students, families, and SOE faculty and staff. Everyone is welcome to attend.

  • Presentation 1: The Relationship Between Sesame Street, Stress, and Wellness
    DSOE Assistant Professor Dr. Kenjus Watsonr. Kenjus Watson will explore how stress-induced biological dysregulation affects students and educators and how healing-centered educational practices can help counter these impacts, fostering resilience and well-being.
  • Presentation 2: Why College Still Matters, and How It Can Matter More
    DDr. Jennifer Steeler. Jennifer Steele will talk about why college still matters in the 21st century and how it needs to pivot to create a more just world.
