Tobias Javage is a senior at American University majoring in Political Science and minoring in Public Health. During his time at AU, community involvement and social justice has been a major focus of his. On campus, he is involved with AU Hillel and SAFI (Students Against Food Insecurity). Off campus, he has interned for his local representatives in his hometown of Ambler, PA and has recently returned from studying abroad in London, where he interned at a non-profit that focuses on reorienting homeless individuals.

Isabel is a sophomore majoring in International Studies with a focus in Counterterrorism in the Middle East. She has been dancing since she was 2 and is now on the AU Dance Team, where she travels with the basketball teams to perform at games and placed 5th in the nation at the 2023 College Dance Team National Championships last April in Florida. She participated in EDC as a freshman last year and continues to work with various service sites through the school year, specifically at Martha's Table. She is passionate about food justice and environmental preservation and focuses her service efforts on those issues.

Elianna is a Political Science Major who is graduating from AU in December of 2023. She is originally from Long Island, New York and has roots in Cuba, Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Through AU's Cornerstone Abroad program, she spent her second semester studying abroad in England. Her service experience spans across various nonprofits local to DC -- including Horton's Kids and DC Action. Last Spring, she interned for the U.S. Department of State (U.S. Mission to the Organization of America States). She currently volunteers at immigrants. Her service work and experiences abroad have fostered her love for international relations and cultural exchange. 

Are you interested in planning and developing Explore DC in the future? The Explore DC Coordinator is a full-time paid position that works from June-August and is open to undergraduate students. Applications will open in the Spring semester.
