Bring Your Child to Work Day Thursday, April 23, 2026

Group of Children with AU's Clawed

The Office of Human Resources is sponsoring Bring Your Child to Work Day on Thursday, April 23 from 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. for dependent children ages 7–17.  A full day of fun and educational activities are planned to introduce your child to campus and your work at AU. Please make sure your child comes prepared for all weather situations.

Children will be grouped by grade level (elementary, middle, and high school) and parents are asked to be with their child the entire day.

As a reminder to all parents:

  • To participate, please request permission from your supervisor for this AU Human Resources-sponsored event.
  • Registration is required in advance, as there will be no day-of sign-ups.
  • The final agenda of events and activities for the day will be emailed to all registered parents.

Fun and safety are the priorities for the day, so thank you in advance for your help and cooperation.

Email [email protected] with any questions.

As of April 9, registration has reached capacity and parents can email [email protected] to be added to the waitlist.

Also, we are collecting children's books.

Book Donations: Parents are encouraged to donate children’s books in honor of Storytime with Civic Explorers. These books will be donated to our DC Reads partners, to support continuing literacy work in the wider DC community.
