Equity and Title IX Advisory Council

The Equity and Title IX Advisory Council (ETIXAC) is an advisory committee established to support and advise on issues related to fairness, equal opportunity, and address issues related to all forms of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct, including sexual misconduct, to Equity and Title IX (ETIX).

ETIXAC advises ETIX administrators on matters related to fairness, equal opportunity, and addresses issues related to all forms of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct, including sexual misconduct.

Serve as a bridge between the campus community (faculty, staff, students) and ETIX, ensuring that community perspectives (through advisory role) are considered in development of practices and policies and provide feedback from the campus community to ETIX regarding ETIX’s practices and processes.

• Raise Awareness: Educate the community about Title IX Sexual Misconduct and Discrimination and Non-Title IX Sexual Misconduct and related policies.

• Drive Cultural Change: Foster a campus environment that promotes safety, inclusivity, and equity.

• Respond to New Regulations: Understand and engage in policies and procedures to comply with evolving regulations.

• Improve Campus Engagement: Enhance communication and transparency regarding Title IX Sexual Misconduct and Discrimination and Non-Title IX Sexual Misconduct processes.

• Promote Equal Access: Ensure equal access to educational programs and activities for all members of the campus community.

Appointments to the advisory council are annual, beginning September 2025 and ending. May 2026. Meetings are held monthly.

Members are appointed directly from official campus governance groups. We seek 1-2 appointees from the following groups:

• Faculty Senate

• Staff Council

• Student Government Association

• Graduate Leadership Council

• Student Bar Association

Appointments to the advisory council are on an annual basis; service begins September 2025 and ends May 2026. Meetings are held monthly. Members are appointed directly from official campus governance groups. Please direct all inquiries to [email protected].
